Here are some people I remember:
A person who borrowed a swiss army knife but
never returned it: While married, he had an
affair and got his mistress pregnant. His wife
is sore at him, of course, and I'm assuming
giving him daily hell for it. Guy turns out to be
a slacker who can't provide for his family.
An ex-"significant other" who basically was nasty
to me throughout the brief relationship: This
person got married to someone 10 years younger.
They both didn't finish college and they have 2
kids. Last I heard, the person has suffered a
mental breakdown due to the amount of stress
they have... e.g. Doesn't shower, doesn't change
clothes and always mumbling to himself/herself
and is (possibly) suicidal.
A person who asked my advice about buying a house:
I find out this person can't afford the house (Too
little income and not enough down payment.)
and tell him/her my thoughts about it. The person
doesn't listen and buys the house anyway.
Approximately half of the person's monthly income
goes to the mortgage. Suddenly, the house needs a
large amount of money of maintenance. I know the
person didn't have financial reserves for this
situation. Now, the person is a "slave to the
house" and is living a lifestyle consistent with
people having little money.
A person who really wanted to be a lawyer: The
person comes from a family of lawyers and he/she
didn't want to "break the chain." He/She takes 6
years to finish High School (Normally 4 years. In
the beginning of the 6th year, the person sues
the High school so he/she can stay and graduate),
gets into college but never passes the Law
College entrance exam. The person suffers a
stroke along the way and has difficulty walking.
Tenacity might be helpful in some instances but
in this case, the person doesn't turn out to be a
lawyer.
