The person that was a product of a mixed marriage:
He /She was abandoned by his/her father before
birth. The person worked at an young age, paid
for his/her college education and even supported
his/her mother in her retirement. The person got
married, has 3 kids and is financially
independent.
The 2nd-generation immigrant:
The person was born in a small Midwest town to 2
immigrants. Person grows up, gets an education,
moves to the big city and over time, becomes
financially independent. Person looks to start a
family and searches his/her parents' old country
to look for a spouse. Person enlists the aid of
family and friends during his/her search. Persons
is patient and keeps looking for many years but
none is found. Person finally meets his/her
spouse in a church group.
