Gift-giving? Not for me, Thanks!
I'm not going to stress out over what to give people and I don't want them to stress over what to give me.
You give me $25 worth of gifts and I give you $25. Sounds fair, right? It evens out and the stores and the taxman benefits.
But if I give "Person A" nothing and "Person A" gave me nothing, there's less stress and less stuff to deal with. Still fair but in my view, seems better!
You're thinking "..but it's the thought that counts!" (Or something similar)... Then I'll just think of giving you a gift... Feel better?
Of course, if you're giving me a million dollars, that'd be nice... Just don't expect me to give you a million... Or even $100.. Don't even expect to see me, for I will be outta here and on a beach resort somewhere happily enjoying my early retirement (Thanks to you!)...
