My experience with this:
- From every school level my class has been made
to believe that we're the best. And based on my
conversations with other people from other
schools, they were also made to believe they were
the best.
- I've been on various sports teams and the same
thing happened... "You're the best..."
Statistically speaking, this is not possible...
All of us can't be the best. I wasn't WORLD
CHAMPION in anything so I know I wasn't the best.
Was this done to boost my self-esteem?
Was I being deceived by my coaches and teachers?
Were they misinformed? Ignorant? Or was this some
sort of mind game? "Tell them they're the best and
eventually they'll act like it." Like a
self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts.
And if I was indeed deceived, can I get my money
back?
